Eco Kids Camp

ForestART is an adult 5 day art in nature experience with 9 world renowned instructors teaching blacksmithing, jewellery making, printmaking, felting, plein air painting, photography, drawing and basket weaving!  Click here for more info on forestART.

Programming

A day camp for kids packed with awesome programming and fantastic children’s learning and play leaders. Read more about our leaders below.  Activities include:

Our Camp Leaders

Our July Camp Leader: Andrew Morosini holds a level 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma and is working to become a licensed Forest School Practitioner, as well as many workshops in the areas of child development and wilderness knowledge. He is passionate about developing a greater connection between children and our environment.

Registration is open to kids ages 2 – 15. A maximum enrollment of 10 kids

Our August Camp Leaders: Andrew and Malika Sellami : Malika is multilingual musician, educational artist, primary school music teacher, mama and nature enthusiast. She will be leading the kids through the paths of Ness Creek Site offering the children an amalgam of creative and ecological adventures. Lots of play time and artistic experiences to have during this forest art camp!

Registration is open to kids ages 2 – 7 with Malika, and kids ages 8 – 15 with Andrew, and these distinctions are flexible. A maximum enrollment of 18 kids.

In addition to these capable and enthusiastic camp leaders, the Boreal Forest Learning Centre is bringing in 4 programmers to educate the kids about the birds and wildlife of the Boreal forest, herbal remedies and nutrition, and Indigenous Knowledge through story.


Pricing

Cost : $250 for the week, or $70 per day. Optional meals provided by Third and Main, Lunch $7 Supper $9 (8 and under) .

Meals can be brought from home or purchased on site from Third and Main Catering.

We have a variety of accommodation options to suite your needs & budget, ranging from rustic camping to a private cabin. Accommodation Pricing

Camping, non-powered:

  • 4 Nights: $40

Camping, with power:

  • 4 Nights: $100

Shared Cabin: 

  • 4 Nights: $140

Private Cabin*  

  • $50-$110 Per Night

10 and up Overnight Camping

If there is enough interest for kids ages 10 and older, without parents in attendance, we will also be offering safe, chaperoned overnight camping, with participation in all of the activities. $500 for the week, with all meals included. Kids will need to have appropriate camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, etc.) Our chaperone is Jayna Forrest, a Mom of 3, and secondary education student at the U of S.
